Framing Images
(in PSP 7)

Remember to save your work often.

SAVING THE FRAME

The picture frame is saved in .pfr format, which is not a .tub file, therefore it is not a picture tube.

You will have to save this file to the FRAME folder in your PSP directory in windows explorer. The default location of this folder for PSP 7 is:
C:\Program Files\Jasc Software Inc\Paint Shop Pro 7\Frames.
(If you are not using the default Frame folder for your .pfr frames, please point to the correct location on your C Drive).

SAVING THE PICTURE.

Click on the picture above and save where you normally save your pics

Open the image in your version of Paint Shop Pro

Click on Image / Picture Frame.

The Picture Frame wizard will open. Select a frame from the drop down list and click Next

Select your preference for placing the frame either on the inside or outside ...click Finish

Below is the framed image, with the frame being on its own layer.

You can add a dropped shadow to it if you like to give it depth.

Go to Effects / 3D Effects / Dropped Shadow and use these settings (see image below), or play around and select your own settings

Below is the final image.

When you save it as a Jpeg, the layers will be merged into one.

I hope you had fun doing this tutorial.
