Hi Tubers

A VERY warm welcome to all of our new site members and new mailing list subscribers that have joined recently. I hope you enjoy your stay with us.

Site News
<------------>
Earlier in the week we added some more tubes to the Trees & Tree Stumps, African, Earth & Sky and Birds categories. We also added a new theme, with some tubes, called Mushrooms. We will be loading up our Easter category soon - I will drop you a note when they are online.

We put up a new tutorial (kind courtesy of Jacs - http://www.jacsgraphics.com) of an animated dolphin snow globe, and there are also some wallpapers (made from our tubes of course) up for grabs at http://www.psp-tubes.com/free_wallpaper.asp

On Wednesday I made some MAJOR changes to the code in the login system. The change was to combat an increase in queries about not being able to log in. Most of the problems traced back to logins and passwords being copied/pasted, and leading or trailing spacebars were creeping in unnoticed in the copy process. It is no longer case-sensitive, and all spacebars that creep in will also automatically be removed.

A "heads-up" to people with firewalls
<------------------------------------------------->
That should be everyone. If you aren't running a firewall - why not ?? A new member had problems earlier in the week that traced back to her Nortons Firewall (it was probably blocking session cookies). As soon as she disabled the firewall she could log in fine. I have used Nortons Firewall before and personally found it to be very "in your face". If you are looking for a good firewall then look no further than ZoneAlarm (http://www.zonelabs.com) .. its easy to use .. it doesnt stop you logging in to our website ... and its FREE for personal use :-)

Attention all Life Members
<---------------------------------->
Most webmasters/webmistresses (what is the politically correct term for that anyway ?? Webperson ??) now know the importance of quality reciprocal linking when it comes to search engine matters. I am going to be building a new "Life-Members Web Pages" link page soon. Please send me your web site address, a small banner, and a few words description about your site so that I can get the page started. I haven't set any hard and fast rules for the banners but if you have a look at http://www.psp-tubes.com/psp_tube_linking.asp , anything similar (dimensions and file size) to the 2 banners I have there would be fine. The order of entries on the links page will be first-come-first-serve :-)

Shameless Plug

If you are not yet a member you can EASILY and SAFELY join at http://www.psp-tubes.com/online_store.asp - we have a MONEY BACK guarantee so you have nothing to lose :-)

I am looking forward to competing in a deepsea fishing compo this weekend (so good luck to me .. lolol), and I hope you have a fabulous weekend as well.

Kind regards

Alan
