Frequently asked questions

a) Problems logging in to members area ?

There are only 3 things that can prevent you from logging in to our members area.

1) Make sure that you do not have a typing error. The password displays as *'s and can be a source of typing errors as you cannot see what you are entering. The logins and passwords are NOT case sensitive, so you need not worry about that.

2) Make sure that you are entering the login and password the correct way around. This is the most common error that we see our members making. They enter their password as their login .. and their login as their password.

3) We use a session cookie to keep your logged in session "alive" for longer than the browsers default of 10 minutes. So please make sure that your PC can accept cookies. If you are running a software firewall (like Zone Alarm, or Norton Internet Security, or Sygate), or you are running Windows XP with its built-in firewall activated, then you need to change the configuration of the firewall to allow cookies from our site. In Internet Explorer you can add our web site to your list of "trusted sites".

b) Where do we get our tubes from ?

ALL of our tubes come from 3 sources.

1) We make them ourselves .. either mouse-drawn, or hand drawn and then scanned and tubed.
2) They come from our own photographs, or photographs belonging to our personal friends.
3) A very few come from "royalty free" graphics collections.

c) May I use your tubes for commercial sites ?

The answer in short is NO. This applies to our free area as well as our members area. None of our tubes may be used for any form of commercial gain. This includes commercial web sites, collections of graphics that are to be sold, etc etc. Our published terms of use may be seen a http://www.psp-tubes.com/terms.htm

Any/all exceptions to this rule have been specifically granted in writing by us.

d) May I use your tubes on my personal web site ?

YES .. we have no problem with our tubes being used on personal web sites. We have hundreds of members who are using our tubes on their own sites, or making email signature tags for themselves or their friends, etc etc. We do not insist on linking back to our site ... however, ALL links are greatfully accepted :-)

e) How do I download your free tubes ?

The following assumes you are using Internet Explorer 6 and that your mouse is set for a right handed person..

1) Go to http://www.psp-tubes.com/free_psp_tubes.asp .. this is the main index page for our free area.
2) Click once with your mouse on the picture of the bird (top right of the table of theme pictures). A new page will load which is http://www.psp-tubes.com/birds_tubes.asp and on which you will find the free tubes for this theme ... in this case 3 of them.
3) To download the tube .. you right-click once in the picture frame and select "Save target as..." from the menu that drops down. Do NOT pick "Save picture as..." as that will just save the jpg picture instead of downloading the tube file. You then select the folder on your PC where you want it to go .. and then hit the "Save" button. It will then download.

You may need to export them into your PSP7 after you have downloaded them. We have a tutorial on how to do that in our tutorials section at http://www.psp-tubes.com/tutorials_exporting_tubes.asp

We also have some tutorials in our tutorial area that you may find interesting if you are new to tubing .. http://www.psp-tubes.com/psp_tutorials.asp is where you will find them.

f) I have downloaded some tubes, but I cant seem to use them. What do I do ?

All of our tubes are PSP6 and PSP7 compatible. If you are using PSP7 you will need to "export" any tubes you download from our site into your PSP before you will be able to use them. Its an extremely easy process and we have written a tutorial on how to do it at http://www.psp-tubes.com/tutorials_exporting_tubes.asp
